When you're out and about today, pick up some fresh batteries for your smoke detectors and swap them out when you are setting the clocks back for Daylight Savings Time. It wouldn't hurt to check the expiration dates while you are at it. Smoke detectors need to be replaced every 10 years and they have a date on them telling you when they expire.
